Why We Are Important

The infected blood scandal is one of the most tragic medical disasters in UK history. Thousands of people were infected with viruses like HIV and Hepatitis C through contaminated blood products administered by the NHS, primarily between the 1970s and early 1990s. This catastrophe led to immense suffering, illness, and death, impacting not only those directly infected but also their families, friends, and carers. The ongoing fight for justice and recognition highlights the profound and lasting impact of this scandal.

In the face of such profound injustice, finding ways to connect, share experiences, and support one another is crucial. Our choir provides a unique space for this. Through the power of music, we aim to:
